I was born and raised in Tunisia, where I remained until finishing high school. I graduated with highest honors from my Bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal in Canada, and the "Diplome d’Ingenieur" degree from Telecom ParisTech (ENST) in Paris, France, graduating both in 2016. In 2018, I received my Master’s degree in artificial intelligence from the University of Toronto in Canada. I have worked in the data science industry for over 5 years, during which I was a successful graduate of the 2017/18 AI cohort of the prestigious Creative Destruction Lab, and ultimately co-founded AIP Labs. I am also a research associate at the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada.
Research Interests
My research interests lie broadly in classical and deep signal processing for healthcare and wireless communication applications. At this time, I focus on developing methods and algorithms for:
devising self-supervision and active learning methods applied to healthcare applications,
scaling communication systems in terms of the number of antennas, the operational bandwidth and space limitations,
combining Shannon and Maxwell theories using physically consistent models,
designing message passing algorithms to solve a variety of non-convex estimation problems,
integrating Chu's theory to maximize the achievable rate of antenna-size constrained channels.
