Biography

I was born and raised in Tunisia, where I remained until finishing high school at Lycée pilote de Bizerte. I graduated with honors from my Bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Polytechnique Montréal in Canada, and obtained the "Diplôme d'Ingénieur" degree from Télécom ParisTech (ENST) in Paris, France, in 2016. In 2018, I received my Master's degree in artificial intelligence from the University of Toronto in Canada. I have worked in the data science industry for over five years, including as co-founder of AIP Labs, a digital health and AI company focused on dermatology. I received my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba in 2024, then spent a year as a visiting researcher at the Technical University of Munich and the University of California San Diego before joining the University of Tennessee in 2025.

My research spans three directions: wireless sensing for precision health and animal monitoring, circuit and antenna theories for communication and sensing, and signal processing and AI for data-scarce regimes.
